Description:	HOMECOMINGwelcome to the junglestory by Ramona VolppThe highlights of this yearsHomecoming included the girls PowderPuff flag football game, a bonfire,kickoff events, and spirit week. Spiritweek started with Camo Day onMonday, followed by Superhero Day,Tie Dye Day, Sports Day, Jersey Day,and School Spirit Day.Powder Puff is an annual flagfootball game played by junior andsenior girls, taking place the day beforeHomecoming. The girls were excited toget onto the field. The game enthralled alarge crowd and went into tripleovertime. The junior girls finally pulledoff a 12-6 win an hour and a half afterkickoff.After Powder Puff, a bonfire washeld by the Calvary Baptist Church. Theevent included music and food eatingcontests. Kickoff involved performancesby the cheerleaders and the dance team.The many pre-Homecoming activitiesgot students psyched up for the game.The next day, soon before thegame began, the student section quicklyfilled up with students wearing khakis,safari hats, and binoculars for thenights jungle theme.The game started at 7:00, but aftera clap of thunder and lightning around8:10, everyone at the game wasinstructed to go back inside for whatwas originally a 30 minute delay.
