Description: BuildOn: Building a Better Futu.:BuildOn is national nonprofit organization that works withyouth to build primary schools in developing countries.Members raise money throughout the year so they can travelacross the globe to make a difference in someones life.Norths chapter of BuildOn was started by Junior, MaxMenczer.I started the club because the experience I had in it myfreshman year at my old high school moved me. I wanted to doit again so I brought it here [to North] because i wanted to shareit.This year, BuildOn members will be traveling to Malawi,located in south Africa, to be a part of sharing the gift ofknowledge worldwide.Studentstake partin theBuildOnColorRun./photoby JoyeTraceyInteract Club: Changing theCommunityInteract Club, which stands for International Acton, is an organizationfor students who want to volunteer their time to aid the school andcommunity.Interact is an international organization sponsored by the RotaryClub of Meriden and Rotary International.The international objectives are to develop leadership skills andpersonal integrity, to demonstrate helpfulness and respect for others, tounderstand the value of individual responsibility and hard work and toadvance international understand and goodwill.I love being a part of Interact club because it gives me a chanceto really give back to the community, said junior Lauren Stallsmith.Blood Drive: TheDrive to Save LivesSo students can have a chance to help thosewho need a blood transfusion, an annual blooddrive is held at North by the student council andIndiana Blood Center.Giving blood was a really coolexperience, said junior Shems Al-Ubaidi.
