BEGINNING TO END.Sophomores Afnan Abdullahi and BlaineZurbuch have one thing in common. Theirnames both lie at the extremities of theschool roster.They agree that being the first and the lastperson has its advantages anddisadvantages.I like to get everything over with,Abdullahi said.To her, thats the first advantage of beingfirst on the roster, but it can be confusing ifthe instructions for a task were unclear.Zurbuch said being last can be adisadvantage, but not always.story and photo / Kenlynn AlbrightDuring the PSAT, I already knew where Isat because I was the very last, he said.Blaines hobbies include riding fourwheelers and fishing, while Afnan enjoysreading and biking. Although the twosophomores are quite different, they areboth eager to reach junior year.Not being a sophomore anymore andalmost being done with school is the mostexciting thing to Zurbuch. When hegraduates he wants to attend college tolearn more about construction.Abdullahi plans to go to medical school,either to become a doctor or a veterinarian.156/ |
