Description: PLAYING WITH UTENSILS.During the fall, more than 30 studentscarried sporks through the halls. In lateAugust, marching band students choose toplay the spork game.To play, participants pay a dollar andreceive a spork. To stay in the game, theplayers must keep their spork in one of theirhands at all times throughout the day.If a player is caught without their spork byanother player, they are eliminated from thegame. To keep track of who is still playing,a list is posted in the band room.Whoever wins gets the money the playerspaid to play. No one was eliminated forawhile, so they started a new rule wherethey had to have a spork in each hand.Learning how to write with a spork in myhand was interesting, Prabhakar said.When the marching band season ended,the remaining four players decided to endthe game and split the money.We each got a small plaque with agolden spork on it, Prabhakar said.146/
