Photos by Gracie PembertonNikean: Whats your biggest achievement since you started boy scouts or girl scouts?Gardner: My biggest achievement since I have joined girl scouts is my rain garden project, which is my current project thatI am working on. Its a global thing Girl Scouts is doing, its a promotion about going green and getting everyone to realizehow much waste they create and different things we can do to help provide solutions for some of the things we do. The raingarden project is basically us making rain gardens and telling people about rain gardens and getting the word out becausenot a lot of people know what they are and what they do for the environment. And thats my biggest achievement becauseits a very selective group and I think we have ten or twelve girls across Indiana. And being chosen as one of three fromBloomington is pretty special.Strain: My biggest achievement in boy scouts is that I just turned everything in to achieve the eagle scout rank. Im reallyexcited about that. One of the requirements is that you have to do a leadership project and you have to plan it all out andexecute it. And I choose to do it with the Bloomington North athletics. I put a new flagpole in for the soccer field, I paintedthe softball stands and I renovated one of the windows in the concession stands at the football field.Abrahams: My biggest achievement in girl scouts is earning my PA pin where I can be a program aid for camping andlead younger girls.is: |
