Description: |
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts alwayswork to achieve their goals whilehelping their peers do the same.Seniors Nick Strain, JuliannaGardner and sophomore MichaylaAbrahams, discuss what it takes.Nikean: Whats your favorite part of being in Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts?Juli Gardner: My favorite part is making a difference. I moved around a lot as a little kid. I didnt really get to stay in one placeand become friends with people and know them for a long time. So being able to move around and make a difference in a lot ofdifferent peoples lives is pretty cool. Since Im a camp counselor now I get to make a bigger difference than a lot of peoplerealize since I work with girls twenty-four-seven, all week.Nick Strain: My favorite part about being a boy scout is just how much Ive learned and how much its helped me in the realworld. Ive learned so many skills that I dont think I wouldve learned anywhere else other than boy scouts. I work at a summercamp and Im a leader within my troop and I get to work with the kids there and I get to teach all of them the same skills thathave helped me out so much.Michayla Abrahams: My favorite part of girl scouts is being able to do stuff with other people and having really close friendsthat Ive known for a really long time and being able to have those people there for me. |
