Description: Some are light, some dark, some new, some old, and some areratty while others are fresh and bright. No matter their condition, they each stir a unique feeling, memory and reaction.Some make us laugh while others cause us to tiiink differendy, orteach us something new. They are t-shirts, and whether they represent an accomplishment, team, or special moment, they each havea unique memory stitched into them.For the boys baseball team, hosts an annual challenge to createthe most clever and humorous slogan possible.We try and come up with the something crazy and ridiculousthat will also be accepted by the coaches, senior Carlos Gould said.The team has come up with an array of phrases such as, Weswing big sticks, How deep can you go? Where swinging woodis understood, and Goulds personal favorite; Hit it hard everytime.Gould says that each t-shirt represents a different season and adifferent experience.Students find new forms of expression througheveryday objects. Its a reminder of the year and the people, Gould said. Eachone has its own distinct feel.A unique emotion associated with each t-shirt is commonamong many students. Senior Kelly Moy has 80 shirts, but amongall of those, one stands out to her the most. Moys fight blue, Hobyt-shirt is her favorite for many reasons, but mainly its uniqueness.A sophomore goes every year to the leadership conference,Moy said. Im the only one who has the shirt.Despite the memories associated with high school t-shirts formost, with the end of high school comes an end to sporting thenhigh school apparel. As students transition from high school to college, they shed then former apparel.Tm not going to wear high school shirts in college, Moy said.So shes corning up with a creative solution.Tm tiiinking of making one of those t-shirt quilts, Moy said.Story by Rose CowanShow YourReaching the first hill of the Indiana University Cross Country Course, senior Char-he Wagner, junior TJ Higgins, sophomore Daniel Olsen, and freshman AJ Schultheislook to move up in the pack. The course and season offers challenges to the team.The course features a large number of hills and runners and often plagued withinjuries.
