Morriss interestled to her becoming vicepresident of the club. AsVice President of German Club, Morris is oneof the people in chargeof planning activitiesthroughout the year. Oneof these activities wasthe German Club picnic,which was held at Cascades Park and includedFrisbee, food, and games.Morris is also helping toplan a trip to Germanyfor German Club studentsover the summer. Studentshave been fundraisingthroughout the schoolyear to help raise moneyfor the trip. Their mainfundraiser was the candybar sale that took placeduring seminar.For Latin Clubs annualLatin Day, sophomoreWill Brumleve took partin the costume contest,where he dressed up asa barbarian. Its just areally fun day, Brumlevesaid. Though Latin Day isLatin Clubs main activity, Brumleve says thatthe club also researchesLatin culture. One daywe went to the libraryand looked at old texts,Brumleve said. Brumleve,whos been involvedwith Latin Club for twoyears, says that activities such as this get youmore involved with yourlanguage. Diversity andlanguage clubs give youdifferent aspects of theculture that you wouldntnecessarily get in schooland let you have funwith it.¥ D 73 O
