This season was expected to be theseason to shine. Nine key playersreturning from last year and new overallattitudes combined together to lead toone of the best seasons in years.This was a very successful season,one of the best in 1 0 years, definitely-senior Kaity Stratten said.Many of the girls feared that playingunder a new coach would set them backa few years from having a trulysuccessful season. Coach Misty Botelermanaged to pull the girls together andgot them farther than they have been inthe past 1 0 years.I had -coach B as a summer coach, wegot along really well. I knew that shewould be able to do something with us thisseason sophomore Danielle Hobbs said.Some of the high lights of the seasonwere beating South for the first time infour years, beating Franklin Central andcoming together as a team.North had a fairly young team thisyear, only graduating four seniors.Freshman Carlie Joraanstad played hardas a shortstop, contributing a lot to theteam. Freshman Megan Mishler was oneof three varsity catchers. SophomoreDanielle Hobbs was one of three strongpitchers. Freshman Kelly Belcherbrought a competitive sense to the team.Next season North will be graduating14 seniors.
