Description:	The Cougars had four specific goals at the beginning of the season: to improve upon lastyears dual meet record and to place higher in the Conference, Sectional, and State meets. Theyachieved all four goals: 8-4 in dual meets, 5th in Conference Indiana, 2nd in the Sectional meet,and 48th at state. They also defeated Columbus North in a dual meet for the first time in school history.The positive attitude and great spirit of the guys on the team made the season a lot of funfor everyone, said coach Dave Tanner. The 26 athletes on the team improved throughout the yearsuch that they broke their personal best performances a total of 661 times, an average of 26-life-time bests per athlete. Although no school records were broken, two athletes secured three sportson the Bloomington North All-Time Top 10 list: Domenic Santarossa in diving for 6 Dives (5th) and11 Dives (3rd) and Mark Connelley in the 200 freestyle (6th). Domenic Santarossa was sectionalchampion in diving and placed 15th in the state. Eighteen of the 26 athletes on the team participated in the Sectional Championships, gaining valuable experience for next year.
