I was only there for threeyears though.KL: What is your fondest memory of your time teaching at North?MS: The war between Mr.Portal and I. It is one thekids have began to enjoy as well.KL: What will you miss the most about North andteaching here?MS: The People! I was lucky to have had lots ofgood people to be around. Being around the HighSchool Stuents has helped to keep me young atheart as well.KL:What inspiration did you have to become ateacher?MS: When I was in middle school I had a great 7thgrade teacher, he was my Algebra teacher. He was aterrific person and helped me to get really interestedin Math.KL: Where did you grow up?MS: CrawfordsvilleJNKL: Why did you choose the subject you are teaching (math)?MS: It was always my favorite subject. I becameinterested in it, and after a few experiences I found Iwas able to teach it well.KL: What has changed the most throughout youryears here at North?MS: It is probably more diverse now compared toother schools and the past years. That is great! As the years go by and some of the studentsleave, so do some of Norths finest teachers. This year North is losing two teachers thathave been with the school since the beginning. The two teachers that are retiring fromthe school this year are: Mrs. Morgan, and Mr.Strawn. These teachers have touched andinfluenced the lives of many students over theyears. As a teacher, sometimes it is neverknown to what extent you have made a difference, but without a doubt, both of theseteachers did make a difference.I was lucky to have lots of good people to be around. Beingaround high school students has kept me young too.-Mr. Andy Strawn
