Description: SoftballIt was a building year for the lady Cougars as they took on their thirdhead coach in as many years. Although the girls ended their season with adisappointing record of 8-18, nine of those losses were one-run games,creating hope for next years team. This season we had to not only workon fundamentals like all teams do, explains head coach Julie Reed, wehad to findwhat kind of group we were. We started new traditions andaltered some old ones.The Cougars ended their season by winning three straight gamesand had a good showing atsectionals when they went eightinnings against impressiveMartinsville pitching.
