Northwas knocked out of the sectional by Columbus North winning it 15-10, 15-6. Coming in to the sectional North knew^they had a tough road ahead of them. They had to face ColumbusNorth first, who had beat them in their regular season, and wouldhave gone on to face the states two top ranked teams if they hadbeat them.We had a really fun season. Beating South would have tobe the best, though, said senior Tara Moore.North coach Tom Beerman wants his team to focus onmental toughness to prepare for next year.Practice helped Erin McKameyget 35 aces during the season.Cougar teammates look on as freshman Mary Ryan kicks off the bump, set, and spikeI had fun this season. Although, it was hard with injuries,all the girls supported each other. This team got reallyclose.
