Description:	Languages: The KeyTo The WorldTihe foreign language department has gone throughmany changes this past year. These changes have goneover well with both students and teachers. Student Learning has changed rapidly and foreign language was one ofthe first departments to adapt.This year was an excellent opportunity to take a trip to aforeign country. The Latin students went to Paris, London,and the Alps. French students had the opportunity to takea trip to France during Winter Intensive Term. This was anexchange trip. Sixteen students went to Mexico as a partof Winter Intensive Term also. Students from Germanyvisited our school and stayed with our German students inthe spring. The German students will be visiting Germanythis coming summer.This year North acquired a new part-time teacher, AmyVanscoy. She replaced Mrs. Knable, who took a yearsleave from teaching. Ms. Vanscoy taught first year French.This student enjoys playing catch with Frau.Boy, arent we enthused about Spanish?Sophomore Heather Hall likes her dragon.Junior Julie Hill enjoys doing her Spanish assignment.-►In Every Direction
