It is obviousthat he is proud of the girlsgolf team, and loves beingtheir coach. This is only theteams fifth year to play inmatches with other schools.Practice starts aroundAugust 10. Mr. Fieldingstarts notices about theteam practices, and encouraging girls to joinaround July. They practiceeveryday, Monday thru Friday, after school. Many ofthe players also may practice one day on a weekend.Golf is a game that takes alot of hard work, but if youpractice, it pays off.There were fifteen girlson this years team, morethan ever before. The teamconsisted of one senior, twojuniors, three sophomores,and nine freshmen.Although only five girls canplay in each match,throughout the year eachteam member got to play inat least one match. One ofthe players, sophomoreAngie Sparks, qualified forregionals. She shows greatpotential.A special thanks shouldgo to the Cascades Golfcourse. They allow theteam free time on the golfcourse for practicing.
