Description: fill* 4^*P *** ^^m mBmmMREVISING THE constitution of BHS, under direction of Mrs. Kinzer,are Chuck Armstrong, Mary Ann Matthews, Phil Hill, Kim Schmalz, andJim Butler.STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS: Stan Easton, treasurer; JillJones, secretary; Tom Bunger, president; Ralph Smith,vice-president.PREPARING THE minutes to be posted throughout the school,are Sally Sibbitt, secretary, and Mary Ann Matthews, parliamentarian.STUDENT COUNCIL took on a new and moreeffective role in BHS student government thisyear. Better communications were encouragedwhen all class presidents were made automaticmembers. Minutes of each meeting were postedon bulletin boards and showcases by Sally Sibbitt,secretary. Students were required to sign up tobe eligible to run for Student Council, thisshowed they were interested in devoting timeand effort.President, Tom Bunger, with the help of theofficers and sponsors, Mrs. Patricia Kinzer, Mrs.Marilyn Ziegler, and Mr. William Lumbley, set upa definite schedule for closed meetings duringschool and open meetings after school.The first project completed by Student Counciland tested by students was the jet lunch line.Members worked long hours with the administration to get the final okay. Each day membersprinted and posted the menu and prices.Other items discussed by Student Council members were a Christmas food drive, a policy onabsence from school, a school dress code, a petition to name the football field. Many of theprojects were successful. The council closed theyear with the election of new officers.75
