With access to the great opportunities of-fered by Indiana University, the advantage, of our location is evident. The English course of our school is excellent. An additional interest is aroused in it by the new methods employed by the present head of the department. From the Freshman to Senior classes, inclusive, the course is pursued along purely logical lines. The Latin department is also enhanced greatly by the very broad knowledge and practice of the instructors. A masterful manner is that in which our present German course is handled. The students in this course making certain grades are eligible to membership in the German Club. The addition of our new library has strengthened our His-tory department materially. This course is considered one of the best in the state. In the Science department, the study of Physics, Botany, and Physical Geography is handled well and forms a pleasant relief from the usual monotony of school life. They study of Algebra and Geometry is made one of the features of our course of study and both are under the super-vision of competent and conscientious teachers. Their system of outside, individual instruction is quite unique. The class of Oratory and Debating though small in num-ber take a healthy interest in this phase of school work.Only recently was the course of Commercial work intro-duced in the school. However, since the student body has seen how profitable it has been, it is becoming more popular every day.The Mechanical and Free-Hand Drawing, added to the regular school work, last year, has become thoroughly estab-lished and with its very excellent equipment, and instructors, is one of the most popular lines of work.
