Latin Club Polishes New Members—1iChomping on grapes, painting fingernails fire engine red, and sitting onballoons were just some of the stuntsperformed by Latin Club initiates.One of the most popular and successful activities sponsored by the clubwas the annual Saturnalia in whichfirst year students and officers aresold as slaves. The funds collectedfrom the slave auction and from selling stationery were used for the Roman banquet held in the spring.
