Members of the third year Spanish class act out a scene from the three-act play, La Encanta Dormida, a modern version of SleepingBeauty.First and second year language courses stressedthe habits of the native people, their customs andattitudes, along with the basic language fundamentals. The classes continued to use the audio-lingualmaterial method which consists of tapes, dialoguerecords, and other techniques to improve the usageof the language.During the third year language courses, students read literature native to the coi/htry, studiedhistory, geography and tradition, acquainted themselves with the educational, political, and economicaspects of the country, and did work in compositionand conversation.For the first time at Bloomington High School,advanced seventh grade students were allowed totake a modified audio-lingual Spanish course andreceive credit for it.
