After all,attending classes was our reason for beingat 101 West Second Street.Whether you were a college preparatory,vocational, or business student you met anenriched curriculum in 1962.High-ranking seniors who had takenphysics and chemistry were offered specialcourses in advanced biology and collegechemistry; language scholars obtained theuse of a new language laboratory; ourteachers studied during their summer vacations in all parts of the country. Othernew subjects were placed on the agenda—psychology, Eastern European history, andnotehand were three of these.Students found that in 1962 studieswere more challenging than ever before.,75
