In the fall the clubtook their annual trip to Kisters Field. The students enjoyed fifteen minute airplane rides over Bloomingtonand surrounding towns.Third row: H. D. When the students arrived they weretaken on a conducted tour by the Weir-Cook officialsand employees.Officers of the club were Joe Peden, president; JohnChambers, vice-president; and Janet Brown, secretary-treasurer.In May the club members chartered a Lake Central The sponsor of the Aviation Club was Mr. McAdams.The purpose of the ARTCLUB can readily be understood by all art lovers: to giveinterested, creative persons anopportunity to express themselves through art, and at thesame time develop their abilityand learn more about the subject. It is to further art bybringing to everyone its truemeaning.It is also a goal of the artdepartment to serve the schoolwhenever their talents areneeded. A few years ago alarge mural was painted for thesenior high study hall. Lastyear several students beautifully demonstrated their skill bypainting large panel dividers tohelp decorate the Junior Prom.The officers for the clubwere Susie Shawver, president;and Janet Hill, secretary.
