Description: Senior ActivitiesIm going upstairs because Ive got to go tothe—Well, I want to get something out of myeye, was one of the humorous lines heard asthe senior class presented June Mad as theirannual three-act play. The play concerned a girlgrowing up from a tomboy to a young lady. Itwas a very humorous and sparkling comedy.Each year it is traditional for the senior classto have a Tramp Day. This year all of theThere are always laughs onTramp Day. Pictured are Marilyn Smith and David Pomeroy.seniors dressed up like tramps, and ate theirlunch on the school lawn. A few of the seniorsformed a small band and held a parade.Several games were played at the senior partythis year. The seniors also cheered-on four contestants who participated in the pie-eating contest. Refreshments were served, and everyonehad fun square-dancing.The play reading committeefor the senior play this yearworked many weeks readingand discussing plays and finallymaking a decision on JuneMad. Those pictured on thecommittee are Jeanette Ter-hune, Jim White, Maria VanHook, Judy Barrett, and DonRader.Many weeks of hard work atrehearsals are spent before eachplay. This is a typical rehearsal before the senior playJune Mad. There are manyjobs which must be done before presenting a play to anaudience, such as jobs behindthe scenes as well as on stage.
