This club sponsorsthe king and queen contest for the Winter Carnival. Each year Silver Tri customarily gives ascholarship, but last year they gave fifty dollarsto the auditorium fund instead.Two socials were given this year. The freshmen and sophomores are permitted to have onesocial each.The members of the Silver Triangle cabinetare Suzanne Graves, president; Becky Sare, vice-president; Linda Hash, secretary; Joyce Anderson, treasurer; Patty Chestnut, program chairman; Tamara Stewart, social chairman; GlendaBruner, service chairman; Linda Hollingsworth,publicity chairman; and Katherine Bush, devotions chairman. Miss Mary Helen McAninch isthe sponsor.Y-TeensTo build character, personality, and a religiousfaith is the purpose of the seventh and eighthgrade Y-Teens, a branch of the Young WomensChristian Association.The group is divided into two sections. Onegroup is composed of seventh grade girls. Theirofficers were Susan Jean, president; Judy Davis,vice-president; Terresa Thompson, secretary;and Kathleen Freeman, treasurer. Some of theactivities were co-sponsoring a check room withthe eighth grade Y-Teens at the carnival, anda skating party. The sponsor is Mrs. BlanchaelineJohnson.The other group is composed of eighth gradegirls. Their officers were Starr Sare, president;Gloria Faris, vice-president; Marceta Binkley,secretary; and Deloris Funkhouser, treasurer.The club initiated the seventh grade memberslast fall.
