Theseand many more phrases are very familiarto Proscenium Players.Admittance to the club may be acquired by doing creditable work in a oneor three act play or by working on theTech Staff for the required amount oftime.The plays presented this year were twoone acts, Three Dying Swans and theSilent Caroler; and a three act, OurMiss Brooks. Also, for the Winter Carnival a meller drammer, The WidowsPlight, was presented.New activities completed were thework shop, the Saturday Matinees, andthe new point system. Sponsors were Mr.William Voorhies, Mrs. Elizabeth Blewett,Mrs. Margaret Neal, and Mr. ErnestHorn. Officers were Carol Hudson, president; Burton Riggs, vice president; andSue Groh, secretary-treasurer.Tech StaffAs any Tech Staff member knows, ittakes hard and long hours of work to puton a play. There are flats to be painted,scenery to set up, costumes to be made,and make-up to apply.The three act plays worked on thisyear were the Proscenium Players production, Our Miss Brooks, and the seniorplay, Mother Is a Freshman.Although the staffs work is hard, whenthe finished product is completed, it isgratifying to know you have had a handin producing it. The experience acquiredby working on the Tech Staff is not onlyvaluable but the fun and friendship whichaccompany it are enjoyed by all. Member-ship is open to any student at B. H. S. Mr.William Voorhies is the club sponsor.
