G. A. A.Yell Leaders ClubThe girls have it—after school athletics.Basketball, speedball, baseball, and many variedsports are offered by the G.A.A. Those whohave earned one hundred points by participatingin after school events are classified as activemembers. The girls who have fulfilled the necessary requirements for each honor are awardedchevrons, class numerals, school letters, and thehighest of all—sweaters.The Girl Ushers are chosen from the juniorand senior members of the Girls Athletic Association. The ushers show spectators to theirreserved seats at all home basketball games andtournaments.Fight em team, fight em! Fight em team,fight em! yell the enthusiastic fans as theyback their team. School spirit is kept at theproper level during all athletic events throughthe efforts of the yell leaders. Apprentice cheerleaders prepare to conduct yells at varsity gamesby taking turns at leading yells for the Panthercub games.Seen most often in the forefront of thecrowds, channelling enthusiasm into appropriateyells, are the four main yell leaders.
