Description: Band and OrchestraAnd the band goes marching on—drums beating, hornsblaring, the Elegant Eighty resplendent in their new grey andrOyal blue uniforms go strutting down the field. Playing at allhome football and basketball games, the band also performed atone out-of-town game. For Armistice Day, the music-makersparticipated in a community program and also played for theMemorial Day Service. The band, under the direction of Mr.Frye, further displayed its musical skill in the winter and springconcerts. During the summer months, the band presents a publicconcert series.The orchestra, also under Mr. Fryes direction, provided themusic for the night performances of all three-act plays and participated with the band in several concerts. The orchestra, onanother occasion, provided a tuneful evening for patrons of theP.T.A. and near the end of the school year played at theBaccalaureate Service. A few orchestra members formed a stringensemble which performed on numerous programs.
