Description: COACHESMr. MumbyMr. BurnsMr. HokeMr. DickBloomington High School was very fortunate this year in havingthe kind of coaching staff necessary for a good athletic record.Mr. Mumby, head grid coach, was assisted through the footballseason by all the other members of the coaching staff, where theircombined efforts turned in an outstanding team record for the year.At the completion of the football schedule, Coach Mumby turned hisattention to wrestling, and Coach Dick took over the position of headbasketball coach. He was assisted on the hardwood by Mr. Hoke andMr. Burns, who mentored second team and freshmen-junior highbasketball. After winding up midwinter. athletic schedules, CoachHoke again took over the head track and golf coaching position.Throughout the year, coaches Dick, Hoke, and Burns were activein the physical education department.YELL LEADERSBloomington school spirit was aided by the diligent service ofthree senior high school students who served as yell leaders throughout the year. They are Opal Brinegar, Nyle Denney, and Pat Thrasher.During the year, they served at all home games and made sometrips out of town to lead Panther cheers.The two girls, Pat Thrasher and Opal Brinegar are both seniors.All three of the yell leaders have been serving for the past twoyears.
