(Radio ClubEndeavoring to learn what makes a radio lick, the boys of theRadio Club met every Tuesday and Friday for discussion and study.Each boy in the club built a two-and-a-half meter receiving set forhis contribution to the war effort. These sets were used for the CivilianWar Emergency Radio Service being set up all over the nation.Officers of the cub are: Willard Smith, president; Glen Graves, vice-president; Robert Hardy, treasurer; and Chester Frame, secretary.The club is sponsored by Mr. Rust.(Projectors ClubLights! Camera! Action! No, not Hollywood. This is a meeting ofthe Projectors Club. This club is composed of boys who run the moviemachine in B. H. S.During the year a party was held for the operators and girl friends,and the preview of the Dance-Band films was shown.The boys were assigned projector duties for certain periods, and themovie room was usually filled to capacity. Many excellent films dealingwith war, history, science, and music aided materially in the classroomteaching.Mr. Ashbaucher is sponsor of the club. |
