Miss Martin, Miss Coffey, and Miss Grantsponsored the club. The goals of each member and the purposes of the clubare to face life squarely and to find and give the best.The new members were initiated at a very impressive ceremony held atthe Christian Church early last October. The first party for the memberswas a folk-night dinner at which folk stories, songs, and dances were demonstrated. The Pre-Thanksgiving, Pre-Christmas, and Pre-Easter services wereagain sponsored jointly by the Blue Tri and the Hi-Y.Other means of entertainment were the Valentine party, the Blue-TriSing, the March of Time Party, and the April Musicale. Those girls whogave the greatest amount of service to the club during the year were awardedGirl Reserve rings at the annual ring breakfast.The seasons activities were concluded by the Mother and DaughterBanquet on the ninth of May, at which time the 1 939 officers were appropriately installed and welcomed.Page sixty-six |
