A shortprogram, which was as follows, con-cluded the event:Iustrumental Duet--Faye Campbelland Lillie Wells.Violin Solo--Naomi Brown.How I Spent Six Years in HighSchool--Amy Seaney.Advantages of Being a SchoolTeacher--Anna May Martin.Vocal Solo--Candace Corsette.Life on the Farm--Elsie Hattery.Harp Solo--Pearl Souders.The hostess was assisted by Mrs.Burton Woolery, remembered as Wan-da Mottier.The affair was a success with theexception that the news of a drug-gists arrival in the city agitated thehostess and it was reported that sheblushed as in her younger days.Doctor Dobbins is confined to hisbed with the grip.Mrs. Wanda Woolery is visitingfriends in this city.Fred Call, local manager of the GemPublishing Co., is in Unionville onbusiness.Mr. and Mrs. Geo. R. Louden, ofBedford, are in the city to spend theFourth.Edgar A. OHarrow, druggist, is vis-iting his mother-in-law in Loogootee,Ind.Mrs. Pearl Souders is here to spendthe Fourth with Mr. and Mrs. IraAdams.Dont fail to see Roger Barbour inFour Buckets of Blood at the Grandtomorrow night.Mr. Becovitz, of the Becovitz &Wells Pawn Shop, went to Spencerthis morning on business.Russel Rhorer has accepted a po-sition with the Indianapolis Glue Fac-tory and is very much stuck on hisnew job.Fat Strain, who was run over by anair ship some months ago, is now ableto be about.Miss Pearl Craven, teacher in theBloomington High School, has re-turned from Zuberwiskoxg, where shehas been visiting friends.Mrs. Garrett Rats Browning, for-merly Miss Blanche Helfrich, is in El-lettsville making a selection of dressgoods for the new firm of Browningand Marxson.Miss Ginevra Bell has returned toher home in Denver, where she is ateacher of language in the schools.She was accompanied by her sister,Miss Portia Bell, of Walton, Ind.Mr. Chas.
