Description: 72 Completion Date Set For North Side HighADMINISTERING TO the needsof 10 elementary, six junior highs,and four high schools, each withits own unique problems, is noeasy task. However, this year, asin the past, the job was more thanadequately performed by theMonroe County CommunitySchool Corporation under the direction of superintendent, Dr.Ronald E. Walton.Besides its normal work onbudget curriculum, transportation,teaching aides, and medical services, the Administration spentmuch of its time insuring that thetransitions to the new North SideHigh School will go smoothly. Thepresent target completion date ofthe modular type building complete with pool was set for July72 for the Academic section andDecember 72 for the remainderof the complex.This year also marked an increase in the use of computers tohelp the individual schools withthe planning of schedules.The importance of communication was plainly evident as theschool corporation, principals,teachers, and students all workedtogether to resolve major issues.The MCCSC established twonew policies concerning studentaffairs and safety during the pastyear. The dress code was abolished, depending upon parentand student responsibility. Theschool board also approved a controversial locker-search bill, whichcontained provisions for checkinglockers suspected of holding dangerous, stolen, or illegal materials.TOP: Dr. Ronald E.
