Description: Golfers Optimistic After 3rd Place FinishREVENGE AND another state titlefor Bloomington were utmost intheir minds this spring when theBHS golfers headed for Carmel tothe state Golf Tourney. Last year,after placing third in the Sectionaland winning the Regional, the Panther linksmen approached the statemeet with high hopes. These hopeswere deadened however, as they finished third behind champion Carmel, a team they beat in dual competition, and Fort Wayne North. Theonly loss to graduation from thesquad that compiled a 23-3 meet record was Captain and B-Man BobSpencer. This fall however, thelinksmen compiled a 6-1 record. Thevarsity team of Tom Cohen, SteveCohen, Bill Miller, Rich Voyles, andBill Sibbitt also captured the SCCtitle with Sibbitts 72 stroke total taking medalist honors.LEFT PAGE: (Top) Senior Bill Sibbitt lines upa putt on his way to capturing SCC medalisthonors.
