Plate with Red and White Transfer in the Andalusia Pattern

Description: Red and white transfer print plate in Andalusia pattern. The scalloped edge is white with embossed beads. Six oval cartouches centered with a large shell-like fan alternate with flowers set against a stippled ground. A wreath of triangles terminating in small tassels and containing rosettes encircles the central scene. Four figures are in the central foreground: two men on horseback, a man standing holding a spear, and another man holding the hunting dogs. In the distance are trees and buildings, a domed gazebo is at the right. Three unglazed stack marks occur on rim at bottom edge and right and left above central scene. The underside has a red backstamp Andalusia. Musical instruments, scrolls and flowers frame the name. ADAMS is impressed to the right of the backstamp.
