Description: |
woodcut and screenprint. Edition of 5 I was thinking two things while I was doing this print. 1. What would be the purpose of bombing a street of booksellers or a school, where reading and thinking and learning are the main activities? 2. What would be the effect of bombing people who live in a city when their bookseller street or their school is bombed? My answer is this print: The death of hope. The baby symbolizes hope. By killing, burning and bombing places of education we are killing the hope we all have in us. The hope for humanity dies every time, in all if us, when these events take place. Then what do we need to do in our day to day life: We need to do actions that will give hope to people (Retrieved from IUCAT November 6, 2019). |
