Description: |
linocut with chine-collé on kitikata. Editon of 5. In creating this piece, I wanted to relate to what education - and access to it - gives to the world. It allows us to succeed, display ideas and learn how to properly display them, and connect various peoples. Education brings knowledge. It opens doors. While the bombing was destructive in more ways than one, knowledge and education are two things that have remained constant. Lets spread knowledge, not violence. This piece was created while Sophia was a printmaking student at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, a private high school for the arts in Natick, MA, USA (Retrieved from IUCAT November 4, 2019). |
