Railroad Accident

Description: On April 17, 1913, the Madison-Courier reported, John Yunker, an engineman of Jeffersonville, was instantly killed when a passenger train on the Louisville division, Pennsylvania system, sideswiped a freight waiting on a switch in the suburb. The wreck took place at Indianapolis and it was attributed to the inexperience of the fireman on the freight train.
