Train Wreck

Description: Photograph of double train wreck at the west ende of First Street. Conductor Frank B. Conner was killed instantly, and four railway cars were demolished when a runaway railroad train turned over. A second train, sent from Indianapolis, hit a tank car later that day. Loss of traction due to wet leaves on the track was blamed for both accidents.
