As early as 1843, the Anderson area had a Spritualist group led by John Westerfield. In 1891, on land purchased from Carroll and Emily Bronnenberg, the group opened Camp Chesterfield on the banks of the White River. Maxon Cafeteria is located in the Maxon Fellowship Center on the grounds. |
