Madison County Infirmary. Superintendents Home

Description: Original farmhouse on the Berryman Shafer farm, which was purchased by the Madison County Commissioners in 1877 for the County Poor Farm. The house was the living quarters of the superintendents family until the infirmary was closed in the mid-1980s.
