Letter from Charles S. Charlie Hinton to Jesse Dorsey, February 6, 1945.

Description:	Hinton is glad to be taken off the secret list before joining the 3rd Army in St. Nazaire and Lorient sector. He has been to Scotland, France, England, Luxemburg, and Germany and will have many memories when he gets home. Germany had the most modern conveniences. This letter is part of a large group of letter written to or by Jesse G. Dorsey during World War II. Dorsey ran the community house for the Louisville Cement Company in Speed, Indiana. Being a veteran of World War I, he knew the value of providing support to the troops. He wrote letters and sent the company newsletter (Speedometer) to several hundred service men and women during the war. The community house also hosted weekend parties for soldiers from Fort Knox, Kentucky during the war.
