He has been corresponding with Glen Applegate who is currently in China. He has enjoyed the recent U.S.O. shows but is not looking forward to the upcoming rainy season. This letter is part of a large group of letter written to or by Jesse G. Dorsey during World War II. Dorsey ran the community house for the Louisville Cement Company in Speed, Indiana. Being a veteran of World War I, he knew the value of providing support to the troops. The community house also hosted weekend parties for soldiers from Fort Knox, Kentucky during the war.
