Letter from Arthur F. Pressler to Jesse Dorsey, September 27, 1944.

Description:	Pressler tells Dorsey they shipped out quickly but he and Harry are thankful for the good time they had in town. It is much warmer there but their training and maneuvers are mostly at night. He would like some pictures of them when they visited Speed. This letter is part of a large group of letter written to or by Jesse G. Dorsey during World War II. Dorsey ran the community house for the Louisville Cement Company in Speed, Indiana. Being a veteran of World War I, he knew the value of providing support to the troops. He wrote letters and sent the company newsletter (Speedometer) to several hundred service men and women during the war. The community house also hosted weekend parties for soldiers from Fort Knox, Kentucky during the war.
