Letter from Charles R. Bros Regan to Jesse G. Dorsey, September 27, 1942.

Description:	Regan is sorry that Dorsey is not up to par. He is at Camp Blanding and there is talk of them moving to Michigan or the new Camp near Columbus, Indiana. He thinks it’s mostly rumors. They are getting plenty of desert training. He can now go a whole day without taking a drink of water. He is learning he can do what he thought was impossible.This letter is part of a large group of letter written to or by Jesse G. Dorsey during World War II. Dorsey ran the community house for the Louisville Cement Company in Speed, Indiana. Being a veteran of World War I, he knew the value of providing support to the troops. He wrote letters and sent the company newsletter (Speedometer) to several hundred service men and women during the war. The community house also hosted weekend parties for soldiers from Fort Knox, Kentucky during the war.
