In this image the group is arranged in two rows. In the top row starting on the left is Banjo Dick standing up wearing a black cowboy hat, plaid shirt, and dark trousers. He is holding the body of his banjo against his chest. To the right of Dick is Ace Bailey. Ace is wearing a dark cowboy hat, a plaid shirt, and dark trousers. Ace’s guitar is strapped around his left shoulder. To Ace’s right is Monty. Monty is wearing a dark cowboy hat, plaid shirt and dark trousers. He has a fiddle tucked under his right arm and holding the bow in his right hand. In the bottom row is Shorty. He is sitting on the floor behind his double bass. Shorty is wearing a dark cowboy hat and plaid shirt, he is gesturing with his index finger at Scrubboard. To the right of Shorty is Roy “Scrubboard” Wallace. Scrubboard is dressed as a rural comedian with fedora hat, wig and freckle makeup, an oversized plaid shirt, suspenders and dark trousers. In front of Scrubboard is his musical washboard. Scrubboard is a small bottle. Between the two is a cylinder style microphone topped with the WIBC nameplate and the Mutual network logo on the microphone stand. Across the top of the card is the name of the band visible faintly in typewriter style font. |
