From the left side of the image is Ray an announcer/emcee in suit, striped tie, and dress shirt. Behind Ray is the bassist, Don. Don is wearing a button-up shirt, cowboy had, and a scarf tied around his neck. Jim, the guitar player, is wearing a dark button-up shirt, vest, trousers, cowboy hat, and cowboy boots. Ruth, the singer, is wearing a light colored blouse with a dark colored skirt, dark cowboy boots with light colored trim work and a cowboy hat. Zeke the fiddle player is just visible in a dark hat. Findley “Red” Belcher is playing the banjo in overalls and a plaid button-up shirt. The last person in the line-up is Paul Grove on the mandolin. Paul is wearing a dark western style shirt and trousers with light trim, dark cowboy boots with white trim, a light colored cowboy hat and a white scarf tied around his neck. The group is arranged around a microphone bearing the WMBD radio station banner. The reverse side has been addresses to Beulah Rudisell with no other correspondence. The top half of the one-cent stamp is missing. |
