Bill Haley holding guitar printed on a postcard

Description: Postcard featuring an image of Bill Haley. Haley is photographed standing up and holding a guitar in a playing position. Haley is wearing a light colored sport jacket with dark slacks and a wider striped tie. On the reverse side, Haley personalized the post card using a pencil. Before Bill Haley started the Comets, he performed with several old-timey music groups including the Down Homers, the Range Drifters, and Bill Haley and Saddlemen (hillbilly-music.com). In 1942 Haley worked for WIBC as on-air talent the “Sunshine Special” and “WIBC Jamboree” (The Radio Annual, 1943).
