Man identified only as Frog stands in field in a pitchers stance. He is wearing a baseball jersey that says Indianapolis. In another photo, (see OVP-350) an Indianapolis Fire Department logo can be seen on his sleeve. This is part of a sub-series of photos in the Nellie Farabee Kevekordes Maish collection that includes several men posing with baseball equipment. These men were likely part of a recreational team sponsored by Walter Maishs bar/cafe, Cafe Elite, on West Morris Street. There is evidence that the team were called The Barflies. |
