Description: |
A letter to Mother Mary Lecor telling of the growing tolerance of Protestants, problems with Sister Basilide Sénéchal’s flaws and indiscretions, Sister Mary Cecilia Bailly’s poor health, and Sister St. Vincent Ferrer Gagé’s narrowness. Mother Theodore relates the events following the death of Bishop Bazin: delays, Father de St. Palais difficulty in paying Bishop de la Hailandière’s debts, the rumor that de la Hailandière was to be re-appointed, then a dispatch that Father de St. Palais had been named bishop.
