Afraid of the unknown?

Description: Broadside that tells the story of the founding of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College by Mother Theodore Guerin in 1840. Guerin was born and grew up in Etables, France. She was asked to lead a small missionary group to the United States to open schools in the Diocese of Vincennes, Indiana. She founded a number of schools in Indiana before her death in 1856.
