John M. Conyers ephemera, 1865

Description: Locks of hair, braided and decorated by women, were presented to John M. Conyers on the day of his induction into Company G, 11th Indiana Regiment of the Union Army , on March 29, 1865. The names of the women who gave locks of their hair include H. J. Bennett, R. W. Bennett, and Lizzie Fall.
